special lot of handcrafted tea from the Makaibari Tea Estate" was recently
auctioned for USD1,850 a kg, thus becoming the most expensive Indian tea ever
Three buyers from the UK, USA and Japan
bought 20 kg of the Silver Tips Imperial to sell to selected buyers.
Silver Tips Imperial is plucked in full
moon nights, but this particular tea was plucked during a planetary alignment
that happens once in 108 years.
